The groundbreaking ceremony for the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan was held. The project has a total length of 523 kilometers, using Chinese standard gauge (1435mm), a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, a total investment of 7.2 billion US dollars, and is planned to be completed in 2028.
